Obituary for Billy Wayne Hawkins

HOMEGOING CELEBRATION FOR

BILLY WAYNE HAWKINS

Billy Wayne (Bill) Hawkins, 63 years of age, received his hearts desire and went to
his heavenly home on October 22, 2019 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Bill was born March 08, 1956 in Hayti, MO to Alma Brown and the late Quinton
Hawkins. He was the oldest of four children. He was also preceded in death by
his step-father, the Rev. Don Brown, who was always “Dad” to Bill, and a niece,
Danielle.

Bill was a very proud Dad who loved his children and his grandchildren with all his
heart and he loved his family. He is survived by his son Justin Hawkins, his
daughter, Jennifer Hawkins, two grandchildren, Justin Hawkins, Jr. and Alainah
Hawkins. He is also survived by his mother, Alma Brown, his brother Dennis
Hawkins and his wife Patti, his brother Robert Brown, his sister Beki Harmon and
her husband Jim. Also, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins
who he loved very much.

Bill spent his adult life in management for food chains. He was the owner of a
successful shop in Branson and served many years in law enforcement with
honor. He served on the Chamber of Commerce in Huntsville, AR and had the
privilege to organize many annual musical events for the community. Bill loved
motorcycles and was part of a motorcycle group that raised money for charities.
He was an accomplished guitarist and singer. He loved music and sang in a gospel
group that traveled over several states.

Bill loved his church, loved his God, and became an enthusiastic, dedicated
believer who freely shared his faith. Although he spent many, many years dealing
with the effects of his diabetes, he faith only became stronger. His hearts desire
became to be at home with his heavenly Father and that desire was granted.
Bill’s greatest hope, and prayer, was that every member of his family,
extended family, and friends, meet him at his new home in heaven.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Friday October 25, 2019 at Rosedale Valley Memorial Gardens, 1340 S Main St Nixa, MO 65714 with Kris Harmon speaking. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
