Obituary for Charles "Chuck" Harper
Charles "Chuck" Harper, 58, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019.
Chuck was born January 16, 1961 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Duane Junior Harper and Lola Nadine (Lock) Harper.
Charles worked for many years in a factory manufacturing mattresses. When he wasn't working he was often found collecting, archiving, and sorting through his hundreds of gigabytes of music. He was always trying to find a new sound, whether its a new band or a new song, to listen to.
Chuck loved NASCAR racing. He would hide the remote during NASCAR season so there would be no chance that someone would change the channel. He also loved the way classic muscle cars looked.
He was a one of a kind man, with a brilliant sense of humor. He will be missed by all of those who knew him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife, and mother of his children, Sandra Harper and his father, Duane Harper.
He is survived by his mother, Lola Nadine Harper, his two children, Scott Harper and Zack Harper; his grandchildren, Alex, Kyrstin, Jack, Aiden, Asilynn, Griffon, and Novalee; and many extended family and close friends.
A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO 65806.
