Obituary for Sharon Kay King

Sharon King, age 73, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

She was born in 1945 in Winfield, Kansas. She spent part of her life in Winfield until her dad came home from the service. Her family then moved to Rogers, Arkansas. She had a wonderful blessing while living in Rogers which was her son. After years of living in Arkansas she decided to move and make her home closer to family in Republic, Missouri.

She worked at Sweetheart Cup for many years. She then went to work for Wal-Mart where she worked for almost 15 years. She was a huge fan of quilting and sewing. She loved to travel and explore new scenery. She loved to stay busy even if it was working jigsaw puzzles.

Sharon was a very hard working, independent, and strong person. She was so kind and never met a stranger. She would always greet you with open arms. There was no such thing as a bad day around her.

Her big beautiful smile would cheer up anyone. She lived by the motto “Grandma is my name, spoiling is my game”. She loved her granddaughter but her great grand babies were her world. They always went to “nanny” and she would be there to help.

Sharon is survived by her son, Eddie King, Ashley King (granddaughter), Aaliyah King (great granddaughter), Hunter Morrow (great grandson), Carolyn Booher (sister), Jim Deichman (brother), and Pam Sloan (niece). She will be very missed by great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

She was preceded in death by James Deichman (father), Eleanor Deichman (Mother), Debbie King (daughter, and Tammy Booher (Niece).

We will miss her, but the Lord has gained a very special person. She is always watching us, and we can all say we have an amazing guardian angel up above.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2018 at Westside Christian Church in Republic, Missouri with Reverend Jim Bormann officiating.
