Thelma Mae Matthews, 82 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Wednesday October 30, 2019 in Cox South Hospital.
Thelma was born December 24, 1936 in Dixon, Missouri to George Washington and Alma (Robertson) Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Henry Matthews, her son Daniel Matthews and six siblings.
Thelma is survived by her children, James Wesley Matthews, Randall Matthews, and Elizabeth Hawley; her grandchildren, Wendy & Joshua, Trey, Tamara, Kristina & Jacob, Krista; her great grandchildren, Raeann, Emma, Leigha, J.J., Lucas, Alexis, Damien and Luke who is due this December.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday November 16, 2019 in Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Fr. Karl Barmann, OSB officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
